Professor Annette Braunack-Mayer is Professor of Health Ethics in the School of Public Health at the University of Adelaide.  Annette works with other researchers, policy makers and practitioners to apply ethical theory and the methods of the social sciences together to public health and medicine related problems in order to improve health outcomes.  Annette has played a leading role in applying ethical theory and moral philosophy to health technology assessments in the Australian context.  Her current research projects include social and ethical acceptability of data linkage, the ethical and social acceptability of laws and regulations to prevent childhood obesity, and tailoring methods for research conducted with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.
