Associate Investigator, CREATE

School of Public Health, University of Adelaide

Drew is a Research Fellow in Ethics within the University of Adelaide’s School of Public Health.  He studied history and philosophy, completing a PhD in the latter. His dissertation expanded on earlier calls to attend to the meaning of a situation, and not simply its material consequences, when seeking to grasp its moral dimensions. Drew’s research now takes up this line of thinking, particularly in examining how the allocation of health care resources ought to achieve more than just the maximisation of aggregate benefits. He seeks to inform health policy and practice by engaging citizens, clinicians and others in dialogues on ethically contentious questions. Drew’s interest in CREATE and contribution is in the methods work. He is also contributing to the work of the Funding Domain.
