Ms Elaine Kite

Elaine Kite was born on Yorke Peninsula in South Australia and is of Western Desert heritage; her family antecedents being Kokatha, Antakarinja, Pitjantjatjara and Eastern Arrernte. Elaine has worked extensively with Aboriginal communities in South Australia and Western Australia in community development, health and education. She is currently an Associate Investigator with The Centre of Research Excellence in Aboriginal Chronic Disease Knowledge Translation and Exchange (CREATE) Team and is also involved in research focusing of resilience and wellbeing in older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Prior to working with CREATE,
Elaine contributed to the development of a Wellbeing Framework, which aimed at assisting primary health care services support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living with chronic disease.
